Let’s try this mang sarap fried chicken which will transport to your favorite restaurant! There are a lot of ingredients and they’re listed below.

Ingredients:

For the chicken:
2 eggs
2 chicken breasts
1/4 tsp salt
1/4 tsp black pepper

For the breading:
1 cup of flour
1/2 cup cornstarch
chicken powder
1/4 tsp salt, 1/4 tsp black pepper
1 tsp garlic powder




For the Sauce:
1/2 stick of butter
5 cloves of garlic
1/2 cup of ketchup
1/4 cup of soy sauce
2 tbsp brown sugar
1/4 tsp black pepper
1/4 tbsp paprika




  1. Cut the chicken into cubes
  2. Add salt and pepper to the chicken
  3. Add the two eggs
  1. Add flour,
  2. cornstarch
  3. chicken powder
  4. salt
  5. pepper
  6. garlic powder
  7. Coat the chicken with this mixture

Cooking:

Over a medium heat, add oil to the pot. When the oil is boiling, add the chicken. Turn the heat to high and add again the chicken pieces to the pot for one or two minutes.




For the sauce:

  1. In the pan add:
  2. butter
  3. garlic
  4. ketchup
  5. soy sauce
  6. brown sugar
  7. paprika
  8. black pepper

Ingredients:

This is my own recipe for cooking Manok and Patas.

  • 1 large boneless chicken breast
  • 1 large potato
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 1/4 garlic powder
  • 1/4 cup cornstarch

Sauce:

  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp sugar
  • 1 tbsp vinegar
  • 2 tbsp water
  • ginger slices
  • 4 cloves of garlic




Cooking:

Cut the chicken and potato into bite size pieces




PORK EMBUTIDO

Embutido refers to refers to a type of meat loaf wrapped around slices of egg and sausage. There are many different varieties of embutido enjoyed all over the world. We will be cooking the version from the Philippines. Below are the ingredients needed to cook our embutido:




Ingredients:

  • 3 lbs ground pork
  • 1 large yellow onion
  • 1 large red bell pepper
  • 1 large orange bell pepper
  • 1 large carrot
  • 1/2 cup sweet pickles relish
  • 2 oz. raisins
  • 2 tbsp sugar
  • 2 tbsp oyster sauce
  • 2 cup cheese
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 2 cups bread crumbs
  • 6 eggs
  • 5 hotdogs
  • 4 to 5 cups of water for steaming




In a mixing bowl, combine all ingredients except for the hotdogs and hard-boiled eggs

Grease the aluminum foil with butter.

Spread about 6 tbsp of the mixture on the aluminum foil

Roll tightly and wrap in the aluminum foil. Seal by twisting both ends.

Arrange the embutido rolls in the steamer. Steam for 1 hour.

After removing the embutido rolls from the steamer, you can either fry the embutido in a frying pan with a little light oil or refrigerate the rolls and eat them later.
